Hard-Coat is applied in a similar way to normal CD lacquer, using spin-coating and UV curing. A Hard-Coat lacquer has a typical hardness of HB to 3H. The Hard-Coat lacquer is typically 3-5 microns thick. The reflective index of the material is the same as the polycarbonate.
